The Trust for Gov­er­nors Island seeks a Chief Oper­at­ing Offi­cer to over­see a key port­fo­lio for Gov­er­nors Island, with holis­tic respon­si­bil­i­ties for all day-to-day oper­a­tions as well as respon­si­bil­i­ty for the plan­ning and exe­cu­tion of strate­gic ini­tia­tives. This scope includes oper­a­tions and main­te­nance of Island-wide facil­i­ties and infra­struc­ture; trans­porta­tion logis­tics includ­ing dai­ly fer­ry ser­vice and ter­mi­nal man­age­ment; secu­ri­ty and pub­lic safe­ty; hor­ti­cul­ture and land­scap­ing func­tions across the Island’s world-class park and open space; and oth­er oper­a­tional matters.

Oper­a­tions Admin­is­tra­tor
The Trust for Gov­er­nors Island seeks an Oper­a­tions Admin­is­tra­tor to work col­lab­o­ra­tive­ly across depart­ments man­ag­ing the phys­i­cal and logis­ti­cal admin­is­tra­tion nec­es­sary for the dai­ly oper­a­tion of the Trust’s offices and sup­port spaces.

Senior Land­scape Man­ag­er
The Trust for Gov­er­nors Island seeks a Senior Land­scape Man­ag­er to lead a team of land­scap­ers in the care and main­te­nance of the Island’s diverse grounds, lawns, and land­scapes using eco­log­i­cal­ly sen­si­tive turf man­age­ment strategies.

Allied Uni­ver­sal Secu­ri­ty is seek­ing full time and part time secu­ri­ty staff to sup­port a safe, wel­com­ing atmos­phere on Gov­er­nors Island. Nation­al Park Ser­vice, Gov­er­nors Island Nation­al Monument:

Park Ranger (full-time, per­ma­nent)
The Nation­al Park Ser­vice is hir­ing Park Ranger posi­tions at Man­hat­tan sites, includ­ing the Gov­er­nors Island Nation­al Mon­u­ment. These posi­tions are locat­ed in Man­hat­tan Sites, in one of the nine indi­vid­u­al­ly leg­is­lat­ed units. The work involves pre­sent­ing a com­plete and high­ly var­ied suite of struc­tured pro­grams (e.g., talks, tours, pre­sen­ta­tions, etc.) and pro­vid­ing relat­ed ser­vices to visitors.
